Processor Support 

z/OS Compatibility Statement

All maintained HORIZONT z/OS software products support z/OS 2.5, z/OS 3.1 and z/OS 3.2. Information on the maintained HORIZONT z/OS software products can be found here.

DB2 compatibility (XINFO and SmartIS in US)

The XINFO Application Server on z/OS supports DB2 versions from V10 to V13 for all maintained XINFO.

Using JES z2 Mode

HORIZONT applications don't process the job number from the JES JOBID. The JES JOBID is used only as char(8) field. Both JES modes, z2 mode and z11 mode, can be used.

PC Clients - Compatibility with Windows and Linux Wine

All Windows clients are compatible with Windows release since Windows 95. Additionally, SmartIS, and IWS/Graph, clients have been evaluated under Linux Wine and deemed compatible.

IZWS Support

All products support all previous releases of IBM Workload Scheduler. The tables below list product support for the newer IWS V9.x releases.



IWS 10.2

For showing correct IWS version in batch programs, please install fix 2025-04-07 (*L modules) or later. The z/OS load modules for IWSz 9.5 (*J modules) are working, but show the incorrect IWS version in SYSPRINT.

Install Version 7.8 for full support

IWS/BatchAD

Install Version V4R4 for full support. Use “OABIL” for IWS 10.2

IWS/BatchCP

Install Version V3R6 for full support. Use “OCBICOML” for IWS 10.2
