Processor Support 

HORIZONT programs currently support all IBM processors, including the latest z16 (3931 models).

z/OS Compatibility Statement

The HORIZONT programs currently work in any z/OS environment without known problems. The products are coded in C, COBOL and mainly PL/I and not dependent on any z/OS release level. Programs use documented standard interfaces like LE370, DB2, RACF, OPC PIF, TCP/IP, VSAM, BSAM, QSAM etc. IBM guarantees compatibility of these subsystems. Hence our programs will operate in any standard ZOS environment. 

Using JES z2 Mode

HORIZONT applications don't process the job number from the JES JOBID. The JES JOBID is used only as char(8) field. Both JES modes, z2 mode and z11 mode, can be used.

PC Clients - Compatibility with Windows and Linux Wine

            All Windows clients are compatible with Windows release since Windows 95. Additionally, SmartIS, and IWS/Graph, clients have been evaluated under Linux Wine and deemed compatible.

IWS Support

All products support all previous releases of IBM Workload Scheduler. The tables below list product support for the newer IWS V9.x releases.



IWS 10.2
